RC Coles, CEO (Robert), has been active in the commercial stair and miscellaneous metals industry for 30 years. RC began his career with Sharon Stairs in Medina, OH, in 1981, as an Ironworker for Local 17 in Cleveland and gradually progressed his way through the ranks, rising to the position of President of Sharon Stairs in 1997, named as CEO in 2002 and subsequently grew the company by more than 100% in the following 3 years.

RC left Sharon Stairs in 2005 to begin a new entrepreneurial project with the formation of Phoenix Stair Inc. in Phoenix, AZ. During a challenging economic backdrop for large scale construction projects, RC successfully reestablished a strong reputation in the industry as a professional and reliable, cost-effective American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC) certified partner for many of the best in class structural steel, miscellaneous metals fabricators and erectors in the US today. This reputation has enabled Phoenix Stair to grow quickly and remain a profitable competitor in the industry.

Outside of his professional commitments, RC is a dedicated supporter of Youth With A Mission, (YWAM), an international mission’s outreach program for urban youth as well as an active supporter of Desert Voices, a non-profit organization devoted to the education and speech for deaf and the hearing-impaired children. RC is also an avid golfer and pool player, and is an active competitor in the Arizona Hot Shots League. RC has three adult children, and 3 beautiful granddaughters.
